Reporting a Repair or Cleaning

Repairs and cleanings of a backflow assembly can be reported right inside of the test report. Follow the steps below to report a repair or cleaning when submitting a test.

  1. While logged into SwiftComply, click on the Test Reports tab in the navigation panel on the left side of the screen.

  2. In the upper right hand corner, click the Green New Test Report Button.

  3. Enter in either the address of where the assembly is located, or the serial number of the assembly and click the Green Magnifying Glass, or press Enter to complete your search.

  4. Select the assembly record that you'd like to submit a test for and click Continue to Service Provider Selection.

  5. Select the Service Provider, the Tester, and the Test Kit that was used to complete the test. Once selected, you'll automatically be moved to the next page of the report.

  6. Confirm that the location and assembly details are correct and all fields with an asterisk (*) are completed, then click Next.

Note: Test report fields and requirements vary between each city/jurisdiction.

  7. Input the initial test data into the Test Data fields, ensuring all fields with an asterisk (*) are completed.

Note: You can put "0" if necessary for your PSID values if you are unable to complete an initial test.

  8. For the question "Did you clean or make repairs to the backflow assembly", click Yes, then Next.

  9. If you haven't completed the cleaning/repair yet, you can click Next on the Repairs and Final Test page to bring you to the end of the report. Then click Save to save the report until you're able to re-open and complete it.

  10. If you've already completed the repair(s)/cleaning and have the final test results add the appropriate details to the Repairs and Final Test screen and click Next.

  11. Review the details on the Test Results/Test Info screen and confirm everything looks correct. Note that all fields with an asterisk (*) are required.

  12. When you're ready to submit the report, click the Green Save & Submit button.

  13. Click Yes to confirm that the information you've submitted is correct.

  14. The status of your test report will now be Submitted or Pending Payment depending on if your jurisdiction requires payment for passing test reports. Once the city reviews the report and accepts it, this status will change to Accepted.
