Navigating the FOG Dashboard

Learn how to read the FOG Dashboard, filter data by date, and understand compliance charts.

Overview

The Dashboard is the first page you see after logging in. It gives you a real-time snapshot of your FOG program through counter cards, charts, and compliance data.

Counter cards

The top of the Dashboard displays counter cards that show totals for your organization:

Static counters (all-time totals)

  • Open establishments -- total number of active establishments

  • Contacts -- total number of contacts on file

  • Grease control devices -- total GCDs (visible when the GCDs feature is enabled)

If tags are used in your program, click the menu icon to browse the available tags. Selecting a tag will update the record count to reflect only those associated with the chosen tag.

GCDs Adoption Rate

When the GCDs feature is enabled, the Dashboard displays a Grease control devices adoption rate chart. This shows the percentage of establishments that have at least one GCD on record compared to those with No devices.

Doughnut charts

Hover your mouse over each section to see how the the data is broken down.

  • Open establishments -- breakdown of establishment types

  • Grease control devices -- breakdown of GCD categories

  • Equipment -- breakdown of equipment types (if equipment feature is used)

Why don't I see the GCDs or Inspections sections on the dashboard?

Dashboard sections only appear when the corresponding feature flag is enabled for your organization. If GCDs or inspections are not visible, those features may be turned off. Contact your admin or SwiftComply support.

Can I change the date range for the dashboard counters?

Yes. Use the From and To date pickers at the top of the dashboard to adjust the date range. The default range is the last 6 months to today. This will affect all counters below the date fields.

What does the Compliance History chart show?

It shows how your establishment compliance statuses have changed over time. You can switch the interval between Monthly, Weekly, and Daily views.

How often does the dashboard data update?

Dashboard data reflects real-time counts from your database. When you add a pump out, close an inspection, or update a record, the dashboard updates on your next page load.
