Overview
If tester users are allowed to create locations and assemblies, you may end up with an assembly in the wrong location or an assembly added to a duplicate location. Here is how you can move that assembly to a different location.
Before you begin
You must be logged in as an Org/City User.
Navigate to Assemblies.
Click into the detail page for the assembly you’d like to move.
Getting to the Change Location Option
Once you are in the detail page for the assembly, click to the ‘Location’ tab.
Click the ‘Actions’ dropdown and select ‘Change Location’
Finding the Location to move the Assembly to
The Change Location modal will load with the list of all locations.
Use the quick search dropdown to select the column you would like to search by.
3. Select the location you want to move the assembly to.
⚠️ Note: The current location is listed at the top and will appear gray in the selection list so you don’t select it by mistake.
4. Click ‘Change Location’ and you will get the confirmation modal.
5. Click Change Location to complete the move.
What happens next
After moving: The page will refresh and you will be in the assembly details in the context of the new location. The installed on date from when the assembly was added to the old location will be preserved and moved to the new location. The Assembly Location field on assembly details will be preserved and moved to the new location.
