What's New: Assemblies + Assembly Detail

Updated today

Release date: March 25, 2026 | Product area: Assemblies

Overview

Managing assemblies just got a lot faster. We've rebuilt the Assemblies page from the ground up β€” with a more powerful list view, a new full-page detail view, and a cleaner actions menu β€” so everything you need is right where you expect it, without the extra clicks.

Introducing the Enhanced Assemblies Page

Exploring the New Assembly Detail Page Features

πŸ“ A detailed walkthrough will be added to this article on Friday.

✨ New Capabilities & Improvements

  • Upgraded Assemblies List β€” The Assemblies page now features a more powerful, flexible table. Filter and search directly in the list using an advanced query builder, save your filters for next time, and use quick search with column selection to zero in on exactly what you need.

  • Full-Page Assembly Detail View β€” Each assembly now has a dedicated full-page view with a summary header, a map of the assembly's location, and tabbed sections for location info, report history, communications, and compliance history. Everything in one place β€” no more narrow side panels or multiple clicks.

  • Reorganized Actions Menu β€” Assembly actions (Replace Assembly, Remove From Location, Delete Assembly, Delete From Location) are now consolidated in a single dropdown. The Change Location and Replacement workflows have also been improved.

  • Breadcrumb Navigation β€” Easily move between the assemblies list, an assembly's detail view, and the edit page without losing your place.

Who Is This For?

This update is for SwiftComply Backflow Authority users who work with assemblies day-to-day β€” whether you're searching and filtering large lists, reviewing compliance history, or taking actions on individual assemblies.

Service Providers (Testers) are not affected by these changes.

Why We Built This

The old Assemblies experience required jumping between a filter modal, a narrow side panel, and multiple pages just to do routine work. We rebuilt it so that the information and actions you need most are always within reach β€” whether you're managing one assembly or hundreds.

⚠️ Changes to Be Aware Of

This update changes some familiar workflows. Here's what to expect:

  • Filtering works differently now. The filter modal has been replaced by a query builder directly in the list. It's more powerful, but it may feel different at first.

  • Dropdown fields in the query builder now require typing. When building a filter, fields that previously showed a dropdown of options will now ask you to type the value. Use the "contains" operator to match on partial values without worrying about exact capitalization.

  • Column preferences will need to be reset. If you had customized which columns were visible in the old Assemblies page, you'll need to configure those preferences again in the new view.

  • "Delete Assembly" and "Delete From Location" are two different actions. Please take care: Delete Assembly removes the assembly entirely from the system, while Delete From Location only removes its association with a specific location. When in doubt, review the confirmation prompt before proceeding.
