Submitting FOG Pumpouts in SwiftWorks: Connection Request Process

SwiftWorks allows you to request a connection to a FOG program directly within the platform. Once submitted, the city or water authority will review and approve the request from their end.

🛠️ How to Request a FOG Connection

  1. Log in to SwiftWorks

    Head to your Customer List in the SwiftWorks navigation panel.

  2. Click “Add Customer”

    Enter the customer’s establishment name and address.

  3. Add Device Information

    Provide any known details about all of the devices you’ll be servicing (e.g., type, frequency). This helps the city match the request with their system.

  4. Select the Water Authority

    Choose which city or water authority you’d like to send pumpouts to for this establishment.

  5. Verify Information Make sure the address and information that populated are all correct

  6. Submit the Request

    Once submitted, the request will be reviewed by the city in their FOG platform.


Checking Your Request Status

After you submit a request, you’ll see a status next to each customer in your SwiftWorks list:

  • 🕓 Pending – City is reviewing. You can’t submit pumpouts yet.

  • ✅ Reporting – Approved. You can start submitting pumpouts.

  • ❌ Rejected / Needs Info – City declined or needs more details before approval.

You can check status anytime in your Customer List.


🧠 Tips for a Smooth Approval

  • Be as accurate and complete as possible when entering establishment and device info.

  • Double-check that you're selecting the correct water authority.

  • If a request is taking longer than expected, reach out to the city directly for updates.
