Backflow Certification Management Updates

SwiftComply has introduced updates to the Backflow system to improve accuracy and consistency in how certifications are managed across organizations.

Updated yesterday

What’s Changed for Everyone

  • When entering a test report, only certifications that are accepted by the organization will appear in the dropdown

  • Certifications from other organizations can no longer be used in test reports unless both organizations accept them.

For Org Users

Certifications Tab

  • The Tester Certifications tab has a new look and feel.

  • Each organization has its own list of accepted tester certifications.

  • Test reports can only be submitted if the tester’s certification is included in the org’s accepted list.

New Report

A new report — Service Provider Tester Certification Info — is available to help you:

  • View testers associated with your org and their certifications.

  • Identify testers with missing or invalid certifications.

  • Search by certifying agency, certification type, tester name, or service provider company.

📌 Tip: Use this report to confirm all testers meet your org’s certification requirements.

For Testers

Profile Updates

  • Tester profiles now include a redesigned Certifications section.

  • Colored icons show the current status of each certification.

  • Updates made to certifications will sync with all orgs that accept that certification.

  • Edits and deletes will also apply across all orgs using the same certification.

Test Report Submission

  • When submitting a test report, you must choose a certification from your org’s accepted list.

  • Certifications not accepted by your org will not appear as options.

📌 Tip: Check your profile to ensure your certifications are accepted by all orgs you work with.

These updates will:

  • Standardize tester certification naming across organizations.

  • Enforce accepted certification types in test report submissions.

  • Provide better tools for organizations to monitor tester certifications.
