Understanding FSE Permits and Statuses

Learn what FSE permits track, the four permit statuses, payment options, and how to search permits.

Overview

FSE permits track food service establishment operating permits within your FOG program. Each permit records the establishment's authorization to operate, its effective and expiration dates, payment information, and owner details. The system automatically updates permit status when expiration dates pass and can notify contacts before a permit expires.

πŸ“ Note: The FSE permits feature must be enabled for your organization. If you do not see FSE permits under Permits in the sidebar, contact your SwiftComply administrator.

Where to find FSE permits

Click Permits in the left sidebar, then click FSE permits. This opens a searchable, filterable table of all FSE permit records for your organization.

You can also view FSE permits for a specific establishment from that establishment's detail page.

FAQ

What are the FSE permit statuses?

Applied (application submitted), Active (current and valid), Expired (expiration date has passed), and Canceled (permit was canceled).

Does the status automatically change to Expired?

Yes. When the expiration date passes, the permit status automatically updates to Expired. FSE permit notifications can alert contacts before this happens.

What payment methods are tracked?

Cash, Check, Water Bill, Credit Card, and Not Applicable.

What is the "Does Not Expire" option?

Checking "Does Not Expire" removes the expiration date requirement. The permit will remain in its current status indefinitely without auto-expiring.
