Overview
Complex filters are work — don't rebuild them every time. On Pretreatment tables you can save a filter set under a name, reapply it from a dropdown, and bookmark one as the view the page always opens with. Saved filters are yours alone: they aren't shared with other users in your organization.
You'll find the tool in the upper-left corner of the table — it shows the active filter's name, or Unfiltered View when nothing is applied. It's on the main Pretreatment tables (Industrial Users, Sample Results, Permitting, General Controls, Users — and more tables since, including Inspections).
Saving a filter
Filter the table the way you want it.
Click the saved-filters dropdown in the upper-left corner and choose Save Current Filters. (Until you've applied a filter, the button reads Apply Filters To Save.)
Give it a Saved Filter Name — names must be unique; you'll see "A filter with this name already exists" otherwise.
Optionally check Set as default so this page always opens with it.
Click Save Filters.
Using saved filters
Open the dropdown and pick a filter to apply it. Use Search saved filters when the list grows.
The bookmark icon marks your default view. To make the unfiltered table your default again, select Unfiltered View and click the hollow bookmark next to the dropdown.
Change the filters while a saved filter is active and the toolbar flags it — Save Filter Changes updates the saved filter, or save the changes as new with Save As New Filters. Switching views with unsaved changes asks first ("Unsaved Changes").
Things to know
Filters save filters only — column visibility, order, and sorting aren't part of a saved filter.
Saved filters are per user and per table. Colleagues can't see yours, and a filter saved on one table doesn't appear on another.
FAQ
Why is Save Current Filters unavailable?
No filter is applied yet — until one is, the button reads Apply Filters To Save. Filter the table first, then save.
Why won't the filter name save?
The name is already taken — you'll see "A filter with this name already exists". Pick a different name, or update the existing filter with Save Filter Changes.
Why can't a colleague see my saved filter?
Saved filters are per user. They can build and save their own — sharing isn't available.
Why does the page open filtered when I didn't expect it?
A saved filter is bookmarked as your default. Select Unfiltered View and click the hollow bookmark to make it the default again.
