Overview
The Test Reports page is your single home for every report you've ever started or submitted in SwiftComply. This article shows you how to find a specific report, narrow the table down to what matters, sort and customize columns, export your data to CSV, and quickly understand each status label.
Opening the Test Report Table
From the left navigation, click Test Reports.
The page loads with the heading Test Reports and a button labeled New Test Report in the top right.
If your company has reports waiting on payment, you'll see a notice next to the heading like "(3 test reports pending payment across all companies you're connected with)".
The table that loads shows your reports with these default columns:
Result
Status
Serial Number
Type
Location Name
Address
City
💡 Tip: Click any row to open the report's details in a slide-out panel without leaving the table.
Searching the table
The search bar sits at the top-left of the table toolbar (magnifying glass icon).
Click into the search bar.
Search defaults to Serial Number. To search by a different field, click the dropdown arrow on the right side of the search bar and select the field you want — like Address or Location Name. Then type your search in the field and click Save.
To clear the search, click the X (Clear) icon on the right side of the search bar.
💡 Tip: You can stack multiple search terms — pick one field, type a value, then add another field with another value to narrow results further.
Filtering the table
Filters give you preset ways to narrow the report list without typing.
Click the Filters icon (funnel) in the table toolbar.
A dropdown opens with a Main Filters section containing the available filters for this report (such as date ranges, status, or assembly type).
Set the filters you want.
Click Save to apply, or Clear to remove all filters at once.
When filters are active, hovering over the funnel button shows a count badge (for example, "2 Active Filter/s") so you can see at a glance that the table isn't showing everything.
⚠️ Note: If a filter dropdown shows "There are currently no filters for this report," it means no filter inputs have been configured for this view — search and column sorting still work.
Sorting columns
Click any column header to sort by that column.
Click again to flip between ascending and descending order.
Click a third time to remove the sort.
Sorting works on any column shown in the table — including Status, Result, Serial Number, and date fields.
Customizing visible columns
You can add or hide columns to fit how you work.
Click the Table Options icon (gear) in the toolbar.
A checkbox list appears with every column available for this report.
Check the columns you want to show; uncheck the ones you want to hide.
Click Save to apply, or Close to back out without changes.
Your column choices are remembered the next time you open the page.
Exporting to CSV
When you need your reports outside SwiftComply — for record-keeping, billing, or sharing with a customer — use Export.
Click the Export icon (download arrow) in the toolbar. The hover text reads Export to CSV.
In the Export Columns dropdown, choose what to include:
All — every column available for this report, even ones you've hidden.
All Standard + Visible Details — every standard column plus any detail columns you currently have visible. (Only shown when detail columns are available.)
Only Visible — only the columns currently shown in your table.
Click Export. A CSV file downloads to your computer.
Click Cancel to close the menu without exporting.
💡 Tip: The export respects your current search and filters. If you want a CSV of just rejected reports from last month, set those filters first, then export.
Understanding test report statuses
The Status column tells you exactly where each report is in its lifecycle. Here's what each one means for you:
Status | Color | What it means |
In Progress | Gray | You've started the report but haven't submitted it yet. Open it to keep filling it out. |
Submitted | Gray | You've submitted the report and it's waiting for the city or water utility to review. (Hover for the tooltip "Submitted For Review".) |
Accepted | Green | The reviewing agency accepted the report. The assembly's compliance is updated. |
Rejected | Red | The reviewing agency rejected the report. Open it to see the reason and resubmit a corrected version. |
Pending Payment | Orange | The report is finished but waiting on payment before it can be submitted for review. |
💡 Tip: Use the Status filter (or click the Status column header to sort) to quickly find anything in In Progress, Rejected, or Pending Payment that needs your attention.
Row actions
Click any row to open the report. What you can do from there depends on the status:
In Progress — Continue Filling Out Test Report, Submit Test Report, or delete it.
Pending Payment — Reset to In Progress to unsubmit and edit again.
Submitted, Accepted, or Rejected — View Test Report (read-only) and Download Test Report (PDF).
From any status, you can click New Test Report At Same Location to start a fresh report at that property.
FAQ
Q: I can't find a report I know I submitted. Where is it?
A: Clear all active filters (click the funnel icon, then Clear), clear the search bar, and check the Status column. The report may be filtered out by a status or date range you set earlier.
Q: Why doesn't my CSV include every column I see in the table?
A: You probably chose Only Visible at export time. Re-export and pick All to get every column the report tracks.
Q: How do I get back to the default columns?
A: Click the Table Options gear, uncheck any columns you added, and re-check the defaults: Result, Status, Serial Number, Type, Location Name, Address, and City.
Q: A report shows Pending Payment — does the city see it?
A: No. Pending Payment means it hasn't been submitted for review yet. The city/utility only sees it once it moves to Submitted.
Q: Can I sort by more than one column at a time?
A: No — sorting applies to one column at a time. Use Filters plus a single sort to get the same effect.
