Updating Account Details Within SwiftComply

How to update your name, phone, job title, and password from your SwiftComply profile — and what to do if you need to change your email.

Who this article is for: Service Providers

Overview

Your personal account details live on your Profile page in SwiftComply. From here you can update your name, phone number, job title, password, and a couple of login defaults. This article walks through each of those updates and tells you what to do for the things you can't change yourself (like your email address).

Opening Your Profile

  1. Click the avatar (your initials in the circle) in the top-right corner of the app.

  2. Select Profile from the menu.

Your profile opens with your current details shown at the top: your full name and the email address tied to your account.

What You Can Edit

The Profile page has four sections, each with its own Save and Cancel buttons. Editing one section doesn't affect the others.

1. Name, Phone, and Job Title

The top editable form lets you change:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Phone #

  • Job Title

Update the fields you need, then click Save. Your name updates wherever it appears in SwiftComply — on test reports you've submitted, in dropdowns, and in audit logs.

2. Password

Below the name section:

  1. Enter your Current Password.

  2. Enter a New Password.

  3. Enter it again in Confirm New Password.

  4. Click Save.

You'll be signed out and need to log back in with your new password.

If you've forgotten your current password:

  1. On the login page, click Forgot Password.

  2. Enter your email.

  3. Open the reset email, click the link, and set a new password.

3. Default Application

If your account has access to multiple SwiftComply products (for example, Backflow and Pretreatment), the Default Application section lets you pick which one opens automatically when you log in.

  1. Pick a product from the Default Application dropdown.

  2. Click Save.

4. Default Organization

If you work with multiple authorities (organizations), the Default Organization section lets you pick which one loads automatically when you log in.

  1. Pick the organization from the dropdown.

  2. Click Save.

You can still switch to other organizations at any time using the org selector at the top of the app.

What You Can't Edit Yourself

Your email address is tied to your login and is not editable from the Profile page. If you need to change the email on your account — for example, you've changed jobs or your company's email domain has changed — email help@swiftcomply.com and our team can update it for you.

A couple of other things in the same category:

  • Name or credential mismatches on your certifications — your SwiftComply profile name is separate from the name on your certification records. If your legal or professional name has changed, update your certifications too. See Managing Your Certifications (Service Provider).

💡 Any change that could affect your login or identity (email, MFA) needs to go through SwiftComply support rather than being self-served. Email help@swiftcomply.com and we'll take care of it.

FAQ

Q: I need to change my email address. How do I do that?

A: You can't change it yourself — the Profile page doesn't have an email field for editing. Email help@swiftcomply.com with the old email and the new one you want to use, and we'll make the change.

Q: I changed my name. Do I need to update my certifications too?

A: Yes. Your Profile name and the name on each certification are separate. Update your certifications from the MY CERTIFICATIONS tab so your submitted test reports show the correct name. See Managing Your Certifications (Service Provider).

Q: Can an authority or my SP admin change my profile for me?

A: No. Your Profile fields (name, phone, job title, password, defaults) are managed by you. An authority can edit the copy of your certifications that sits within their organization, but they can't change your login credentials or your Profile fields.

Q: I forgot which password I set. What should I do?

A: On the login page, click Forgot Password, enter your email, and follow the reset link that lands in your inbox. You don't need to contact support for a password reset.
