Viewing Deficiency, IDDE, BMP, Enforcement, and Weather Analytics

Detailed views and exports for each analytics module: deficiencies, IDDE, BMPs, enforcement, and weather.

Overview

Beyond the Analytics Dashboard summary, each analytics module provides detailed views with filterable tables and charts. This article covers how to use these detailed views for day-to-day compliance analysis.

Deficiency analytics

Outstanding deficiencies

  1. Go to Analytics > Deficiencies > Outstanding.

  2. View all unresolved deficiencies in a table with columns for name, site, level, assignees, identified date, and due date.

  3. Filter by deficiency level, assignee, BMP category, or date range.

  4. Export the filtered results to CSV.

Deficiency aging report

The aging report groups open deficiencies by how long they have been unresolved. Use this to identify deficiencies that may need escalation to an Enforcement Case, for example moving from a standard deficiency to a formal Notice of Violation (NOV).

IDDE analytics

Complaints analytics

View complaint trends over time, filterable by pollutant type, contact method, and problem status (potential vs. actual).

Investigations analytics

Track IDDE investigations by status (open vs. resolved), assigned user, investigation reason (response to complaint vs. follow-up), and pollutant type.

BMP analytics

Site effectiveness

View BMP effectiveness ratings (based on field inspection data) aggregated by site. This helps identify sites where BMPs are performing poorly and may need replacement or maintenance.

Tag effectiveness

View BMP effectiveness grouped by site tags. Useful for comparing BMP performance across geographic areas or site categories.

Enforcement analytics

Track enforcement case creation over time and outstanding enforcement actions requiring follow-up. Filter by enforcement level to see the distribution of warnings, NOVs, fines, etc.

Weather/Precipitation analytics

  1. Go to Analytics > Weather > Precipitation Events.

  2. View all precipitation events with columns for: Site, Start date, End date, Method (event total, daily, or hourly), Total rainfall, Qualifying event flag, and Latest Report Date.

  3. Filter by program, site status, Site Profile, and date range.

  4. Export to CSV for regulatory reporting.

The "Qualifying" flag is automatically determined based on the precipitation threshold defined in your program settings (for example, 0.5 inches in 24 hours). Qualifying events may trigger permit-mandated inspection requirements.

Exporting analytics data

All analytics views support CSV export:

  1. Apply your desired filters to narrow the data.

  2. Click the export/download icon.

  3. A CSV file downloads with the currently displayed and filtered data.

The export reflects your current filters and column selections, so what you see on screen is what you get in the file.

FAQ

Q: Can I create custom analytics reports?

A: The analytics modules are predefined. For custom analysis, export the data to CSV and use your own spreadsheet tools.

Q: Why is the precipitation data empty?

A: Precipitation events must be logged at sites (either manually or via weather integration). If no events have been recorded, the analytics view will be empty.

Q: What does MTR mean in deficiency analytics?

A: MTR stands for Mean Time to Resolution, the average number of days from when a deficiency is identified to when it's resolved.
