Overview
The Settings area is where admins configure your FOG program -- defaults, custom fields, templates, notifications, and team access. This article walks the Settings sidebar top to bottom so you can find what you need quickly.
Getting to Settings
Click the Settings gear icon in the top-right corner of the page.
Only users with the admin role can open Settings. If you don't see the gear icon, you don't have admin access.
Some sections only appear when the matching feature is enabled for your tenant. If a section listed below is missing, the feature is off -- contact SwiftComply support to turn it on.
Organization
Your organization's identity and program-wide defaults. Three tabs:
Settings -- organization name, logo, address, region/tenant codes, default units for pump outs / yellow grease / GCDs, and whether pump out volume is required.
Online Profiles -- toggles for the public-facing establishment profile (see Online Profile Settings).
Equipment types -- the equipment classifications your team can attach to establishments. (Visible only when the equipment feature is on.)
Properties
Define custom fields on every record type that supports them -- Establishments, Contacts, Provider Contacts, Equipment, GCDs, Pump Outs, Providers, Yellow Grease, FSE Permits, Self-Monitoring Reports, Vehicles, Disposal Locations, and Provider Permits. Also where you toggle visibility of certain standard fields (such as the GCD Custom ID).
Learn more in Customizing Custom Properties and Field Visibility.
Establishments
Add, edit, and archive the establishment Types your program uses to classify locations (for example, Restaurant, Bakery, Institutional Kitchen).
GCDs
Manage classifications used on grease control devices. Two tabs:
Categories -- the categories GCDs can belong to (Interceptor, Separator, etc.).
Condition -- the manually-set condition labels (Good, Damaged, Needs Repair, etc.).
Pumpouts
Customizes the pump out print layout by allowing you to create a Header and a Footer. See Building Your Pumpout Form.
Inspections
Create and manage inspection content. Three tabs:
Templates -- reusable question sets used during inspections.
Compliance -- the outcome options (Pass, Fail, Follow-up Required, etc.) inspectors choose when closing an inspection.
Percent Calculation (Beta) -- optional inspection scoring.
Learn more in Configuring Inspection Templates and Outcomes.
Enforcements
Configure enforcement types, templates, and the print layout. See Configuring Enforcement Types, Templates, and Print Layout.
Permits
Customize the printable layouts used for permits. Tabs depend on which permit features are on:
FSE Layout -- layout used when printing or emailing FSE permits.
Provider Permit Layout -- layout used for provider permits.
Notes
Manage the note type classifications available when your team adds notes to records (for example, Phone Call, Site Visit, Email).
Notifications
All automated email templates live here, organized by trigger. Six tabs:
Welcome -- sent to a new contact when they're added to an establishment. Includes the establishment's online profile link.
Pumpout -- reminders that fire after a pump out is recorded.
Without Pumpout -- reminders that fire when a pump out is overdue or missing.
FSE Permit Expiration -- reminders before an FSE permit expires. (FSE permits feature.)
Provider Permit Expiration -- reminders before a provider permit expires. (Provider permits feature.)
One-Time Message -- one-off message templates for ad-hoc emails to establishments or providers.

Team
Manage who can access your FOG program. Two tabs:
Team -- invite users, edit existing members, and grant or remove the admin role.
Single Sign On -- configure SAML-based SSO with your identity provider. Visible only when SSO has been enabled for your tenant by SwiftComply.
Learn more in Managing Users in FOG and Configuring SSO (Single Sign-On).
My User
Update your own profile -- name, email, password, and the digital signature used on inspections and reports.
API
View or regenerate the API key that authenticates external integrations with your FOG tenant. See Understanding the FOG API and Managing API Keys.
FAQ
Q: Why don't I see some of the sections listed here?
A: Each section only appears when the feature it controls is enabled for your tenant. If a section is missing, the feature is off -- contact SwiftComply support.
Q: Are my settings changes applied immediately?
A: Yes. Saving in any settings section takes effect right away across the program.
Q: Can I restrict who can edit certain settings?
A: No. Settings are admin-only as a whole; there isn't per-section permission control. Anyone with the admin role can edit any section.
Q: I don't have admin access but need to change a setting. What do I do?
A: Ask an existing admin to make the change, or to grant you the admin role under Settings β Team.
