Location Summary Reports

Learn how to generate Location Summary Reports to pull sampling data across Industrial Users, outfalls, and date ranges.

Who this article is for: Authority users.

Overview

Location Summary Reports let you build a custom view of sampling data for one or more Industrial Users. You configure exactly which data columns to include, then generate and export the results. This is the primary reporting tool in SwiftComply Pretreatment for pulling sample results, calculated results, and flow data across your program.

Accessing Reports

Click Reporting in the left sidebar. Click Location Summary Reports to get started.

Configuring a Report

  1. Select Locations — Choose one or more Industrial Users from the dropdown.

  2. Select Outfalls — Once locations are selected, pick the relevant outfalls. A "Select All" option is available when multiple outfalls exist.

  3. Set Date Range — Choose between a fixed date range (start and end dates) or a relative date (e.g., past 3 months).

  4. Choose Display Format — "Single Table" shows all data together. "Separated by location" groups results by IU.

  5. Add Data Columns — Click Add Column and choose a column type:

Calculated Result

You can add as many columns as needed. Remove a column by clicking the delete icon next to it.

Click Generate Report to run the report.

Reviewing Results

Once generated, results appear in a table below the configuration form. If you chose "Separated by location," each IU's data displays in its own collapsible section. You can collapse the configuration form to give the results more screen space.

Saving Report Configurations

Click Save to store your current report settings for reuse. Saved configurations remember your selected locations, outfalls, date settings, and column setup. Load a saved configuration from the dropdown at the top of the form.

💡 Tip: Save your report configurations if you run the same report regularly. This avoids reconfiguring locations, outfalls, and columns each time.

Exporting Report Data

After generating a report, there are two ways to export:

Export the full report:

  • Download in One File — Exports all results into a single CSV.

  • Download in Separate Files — Exports one CSV per location.

Export individual tables: If you chose "Separated by location," each location's displayed table has its own export button in the table toolbar. Use this to export a single location's data without downloading the entire report.

FAQ

Q: Can I filter reports by date range?
A: Yes. You can set a fixed start and end date, or use a relative date like "past 3 months" or "past 1 year."

Q: What is the difference between Sample Result and Calculated Result columns?
A: Sample Result columns show the raw measured values from sampling events. Calculated Result columns show values derived from a calculation formula (such as Daily Maximum or Monthly Average) applied to the sample data.

Q: Can I schedule automatic reports?
A: Reports are generated on demand through the Reporting section. Save your configuration to quickly regenerate the same report in the future.
