February 2025 - Easy Navigation from Assembly Records to Location and more updates!

Updated over a week ago

Topics:

Improved Navigation for Assembly and Location Details

Overview
We’ve made improvements to the way location details are accessed from assembly records. These changes streamline the user experience, making it clearer and easier to navigate between assembly and location information.

Previous Behavior
Previously, when clicking the edit icon on an assembly with a tied location, a new tab would open displaying the location details. However, it wasn’t clear that this would happen. The edit icon gave the impression that the user could edit the location details directly within the assembly, but this wasn’t the case.

New Behavior
With this update, the process has been clarified:

  • No Associated Location: If no location is linked to the assembly, the edit icon will remain visible. Clicking this icon will allow users to fill in location details directly within the assembly record.

  • Location Associated with Assembly: When a location is tied to the assembly, a green button labeled “Open Location” will appear. Clicking this button will open the location details in a new tab for easy access.

Benefits

  • Clearer navigation between assembly and location details.

  • The ability to directly edit location information in the assembly when no location is associated.

  • A more intuitive way to open location details in a separate tab when a location is linked.

Cookie Management and User Session Handling

Overview

To enhance data accuracy and streamline user experience, we've updated the system’s behavior when multiple users log in using different tabs within the same browser. This change ensures that the most recent user session is properly reflected across all tabs.

Update
With this update, the system now handles multiple user logins more efficiently:

  • Multiple Logins in Separate Tabs: If two users log into the system using separate tabs in the same browser, the second login will overwrite the first login.

  • Session Detection Message: When the user returns to the first tab after the second login, they will be presented with a message indicating that a new user session has been detected. The page will then refresh to reflect the credentials of the second user session.

Benefits

  • Improved data accuracy by ensuring that the most recent login is prioritized.

  • Clearer user experience with a notification that explains the session switch.

  • Reduced confusion when multiple users log in within the same browser.

Additional Paging Controls

We’ve updated a previously launched feature, this update allows you to customize how many records you view per page in each of your tables.

How It Works:

  • Navigate to the bottom left corner of the table.

  • Click the Results Per Page dropdown menu.

  • Select your preferred number of records per page: 10, 25, 50, or 100.

  • Your selection will be saved for future visits to this table, so you won’t have to adjust it each time.

Important Notes:

If your program contains very large data sets, you may notice the following:

  • The pagination buttons will be temporarily disabled.

  • The word “Loading” will appear in the lower right corner of the table.

  • Once the data has finished loading, the total page count will be displayed, and the pagination buttons will be re-enabled.

This update enhances usability by giving you greater control over data visibility while ensuring smooth performance when handling large amounts of information. If you have any questions or experience issues, please reach out to our support team.
