Overview: How to assign an inspector to a group of establishments.
You are now able to assign an inspector to specific establishments, which defaults inspections to that inspector and allows you to filter establishments assigned to that inspector.
Note: To assign an inspector to an establishment, the inspector must be marked as an inspector in Settings. Please head to the help centre article Team for guidance with this.
Assigning an Inspector
To assign an inspector to a list of establishments at the same time, first filter your desired list of establishments. For more help with using filters to generate a list of establishments, check out the article Managing Establishments.
Once you've generated your list, click 'Actions' and select Assign inspector. You'll be prompted to choose an inspector from the drop down menu. Select the desired inspector, and click Update.
When scheduling an inspection for any of these assigned establishments, the inspector field will automatically now default to the inspector you've assigned.
You can also now filter establishments by an assigned inspector. On the list view, simply click into the 'Inspector' field, select the assigned inspector you'd like to filter by and hit Apply to view a list of establishments assigned to that inspector.
It is also possible to assign an inspector to establishments one by one. Simply search for the desired establishment, and click 'Actions' then Edit on their profile. Scroll down to the 'Inspector' field and select the inspector. Click Save when finished.
Changing an Assigned Inspector
To change an assigned inspector, generate your filtered list of establishments and click 'Actions', then select Assign inspector. Choose an alternative inspector from the drop down menu and click Update.
To change an assigned inspector individually, find the establishment you'd like to change the inspector for, and click 'Actions' then Edit on their profile. Scroll down to the 'Inspector' field and select a different inspector. Click Save when finished.
