SwiftComply FOG now has a built-in map!

Map Results

The map is available on the Establishments page only. If the map is turned on for your city, once viewing a complete or filtered list of establishments, click the 'Map results' button.

This will open the map, which will reflect the establishments in the list below. Establishments are illustrated by their compliance status, and there is a key above the map for the different statuses.

You can move around the map and zoom in using the scroll wheel on your mouse or by using two fingers on your touchpad.

If you click on a specific plotted establishment, a menu will pop up with the establishment name, last inspected date, and GCD information. You can click 'Details' to be taken to that establishment's profile.

To collapse the map, click 'Collapse map'.

Filtering by No Coordinates

For an establishment to plot correctly on the map, it must have coordinates. To find which establishments in your database do not have coordinates, click the funnel icon to open the filter menu and in the the filter 'Map coordinates', select 'Has no coordinates' from the dropdown menu. Click 'Apply'.

This will generate a list of the establishments that do not have coordinates and will not plot accurately on the map, ready for you to update.

Adjusting Establishment Addresses

If you see an establishment on the map that is not plotting correctly, it may not have coordinates. If you filter by no coordinates as outlined above, you are able to edit the establishment's address.

To update an establishment so that it has a Google address (and coordinates) associated with it, click into the establishment and click 'Actions', then 'Edit'.

In the 'Addresses' field, click into the box and if there is not a Google address accepted, one will show in the dropdown menu. Click the address to accept the suggestion, then Save.

mceclip5.png

The establishment will now be associated with a Google address and will plot correctly on the map.

If you do not want to accept the Google suggestion, or the suggestion is inaccurate, you can choose to map this location yourself. Click the blue 'Map this location' button.

mceclip6.png

This will open a modal with the map where you able to zoom in and set the point for that establishment. Once you have chosen the point, click 'Set' and 'Save' back in the establishment form.

The establishment will then have coordinates associated with it and will plot at the point you selected.
