Overview
The Structures program tracks individual stormwater structures (catch basins, inlets, outlets, manholes, etc.) within a site. Unlike other programs where deficiencies attach to the site, Structures lets you link deficiencies directly to individual structures. Each structure stores its name, perimeter, and geometry data so it can be displayed on the site map. As of May 2026, structures can also be browsed in a new list view alongside the map — use the Map/List toggle in the upper right to switch between views.
Program features
When a site is assigned to the Structures program, these features become available:
Inspections: Inspect structures using configurable templates.
Custom Reports: Generate reports for structure conditions.
Deficiencies: Track deficiencies linked to specific structures rather than to the site as a whole.
Files: Upload photos and documents.
Compliance Status: Track the compliance state of each structure. Change it from the Compliance Status dropdown on the structure's card on the map. Each change is recorded on the structure's Status History card.
Create Inspection from the map: Click a structure on the map, click ACTIONS on its card, then click Create Inspection. This option appears when the structure's type has an inspection form.
List View: Browse all structures across your program in a sortable, filterable table. Toggle between map and list views using the Map/List control in the upper right.

Q: What types of structures are tracked?
A: Any permanent stormwater infrastructure — catch basins, storm drain inlets/outlets, manholes, junction boxes, culverts, and detention/retention structures.
Q: How do structure deficiencies differ from regular deficiencies?
A: Structure deficiencies are linked to a specific structure within a site rather than to the site itself. This provides more granular tracking.
Q: Can structures appear on the map?
A: Yes. Structures with geometry/perimeter data are rendered on the site map. You can also switch to the list view using the Map/List toggle in the upper right — all structures appear in the list regardless of whether they have geometry data.
Q: Where can I see when a structure's compliance status changed?
A: Open the structure. The Status History card lists each change: when it was made, who made it, the old and new status, and the source (Web, Mobile, API, System, or Inspection). When an inspection made the change, the source links to that inspection. The card appears when compliance statuses are turned on for the Structures program.
Q: Do structures appear in the CloudCompli mobile app?
A: Yes. Structures are shown on the Global Map in the CloudCompli mobile app with color-coded markers — Blue (not yet inspected), Green (passed), Red (failed), Yellow (open deficiency). Tap any structure marker to see name, type, last inspection date, and deficiency count.
