Overview
A sample report can be printed at any time from its own page. SwiftComply builds a printable copy of the whole report — not just the summary — opens it in a new browser tab, and hands it to your browser's print dialog, where you can print it or save it as a PDF.
This is available for every report regardless of its status or whether it has been archived.
Printing a report
Open the sample report.
In the header, select the printer icon (Print Report).
A new tab opens with the printable copy, and your browser's print dialog appears over it.
Print it, or choose your browser's Save as PDF option.
The printer icon sits at the left of the report header, beside Archive and Retract Report:
While the copy is being built the icon reads Preparing print... and is disabled until it finishes. Larger reports take a moment, because the data behind every sampling event is collected before the document is drawn.
⚠️ Your browser must allow pop-ups for SwiftComply. The printable copy opens in a new tab, so a pop-up blocker stops it. If it is blocked you will see Please allow pop-ups to print the sample report. Allow pop-ups for the site and select the icon again.
What the printed copy contains
The document is headed Sample Report with the report's status beneath it, and a retracted report is marked as such in that line. Below that come these sections, in order:

Reports that have been retracted and resubmitted
If a report has been retracted and submitted again, the printed copy carries both the current submission and the earlier ones. Each retracted submission gets its own block, and the sections inside it carry a (Retracted) label so they read separately from the current data — Sampling Events (Retracted), Sampling Results (Retracted), Flow Reporting (Retracted) and Calculated Results (Retracted).
This matters if you are printing a report as a record: the document shows the full submission history, not only what stands today.
If part of the report does not load
Each section is gathered separately, so one failure does not stop the rest. Where a section could not be loaded you will see a message in its place instead of silent omission:
Failed to load sampling results for this event.
Failed to load flow reporting data. Retry the print to include it.
Failed to load calculated results. Retry the print to include them.
Printing again usually resolves these. If the whole document fails, the tab reads Error loading report. Please try again. and SwiftComply shows Failed to generate print view.
FAQ
Where is the print button?
In the header of the sample report page, as a printer icon labeled Print Report.
Can I print a report that has not been submitted yet?
Yes. Printing does not depend on the report's status, so a scheduled or pending report can be printed as it stands.
Can I print an archived report?
Yes. Archiving does not affect printing.
Nothing happened when I selected the printer icon.
Your browser most likely blocked the new tab. Allow pop-ups for SwiftComply and try again.
How do I get a PDF rather than a paper copy?
Choose Save as PDF as the destination in your browser's print dialog. SwiftComply hands the document to the browser, so the PDF options are your browser's own.
Does the printed copy include data that was later retracted?
Yes. Retracted submissions appear in their own sections, each labeled (Retracted), alongside the current submission.
Why is the printed copy taking a while?
The data behind every sampling event, flow event and calculated result is collected before the document is built, so a report with many events takes longer than a short one.
