Overview
SwiftComply Stormwater lets you pull your data out of the system in two ways: bulk-downloading inspection reports as PDFs (zipped together) from a site's activity page, and exporting list data — deficiencies, investigations, enforcement cases, and education interactions — as CSV files. This article covers both flows.
Bulk-downloading inspection reports as PDFs
Use this flow to download multiple inspection reports for a single site at once.
Open the site you want to download reports for.
In the Recent Activity widget on the site's home page, open the Inspections tab.
Click View All to open the site's full activity list.
In the activity table, use the checkboxes to select the reports you want. To select everything visible, use the header checkbox.
To see more rows at once, change the page size dropdown (options are 10, 25, 50, 100, or All).
Click Bulk Download at the bottom of the page.
The selected reports are bundled into a ZIP file (zip_file_export_[timestamp].zip) and downloaded to your browser.
⚠️ Note: If you select more than 50 reports, a red banner appears: "Selection Limit Exceeded: You can only bulk download up to 50 reports at a time. Please deselect some reports to enable the Bulk Download button." The Bulk Download button stays disabled until you bring the count back under the limit.
Exporting list data as CSV
Several list pages in SwiftComply Stormwater include a Download CSV button. Each list also has a Customize Columns option so you can choose which fields appear in the export.
The export pattern is the same across all four list pages:
Open the relevant list page (see the list below).
(Optional) Click Customize Columns to choose which columns to include or hide.
Apply any filters or searches you want — the CSV export reflects what's currently shown in the table.
Click Download CSV.
The file downloads to your browser.
Available CSV export points:
Deficiencies — Deficiencies list page
Investigations — Investigations list page (within the Investigations program)
Enforcement Cases — Enforcement Cases list page (within the Enforcement program)
Education Interactions — Education Interactions list page (within the Education program)
Deficiency CSVs can include columns such as name, location name, latest report, latitude, longitude, corrective action, description, tags, status, deficiency level, BMP, assignees, identified by, created at, resolved by, resolved at, resolution notes, and due by — depending on which columns you've enabled.
FAQ
Q: How many reports can I bulk-download at once?
A: Up to 50 at a time. If you select more, a warning banner appears and the Bulk Download button is disabled until you reduce the selection.
Q: What file format are bulk-downloaded reports?
A: A single ZIP file containing the PDFs of the reports you selected. The filename is zip_file_export_[timestamp].zip.
Q: How do I change which columns are in my CSV export?
A: On the list page, click Customize Columns before clicking Download CSV. Your column choices are saved to your user settings and reused the next time you visit that list.
Q: Can I export sites or locations as a CSV?
A: Not from the standard list pages. Contact your SwiftComply representative if you need a site-level data export.
Q: Are deficiency photos included in CSV exports?
A: No. CSV exports contain text data only. Photos are stored separately on each deficiency record.
