Track street sweeping operations, material weights collected, and produce annual regulatory reports.

Overview

The Sweeping Summary program tracks street sweeping operations, material weights collected, categorized by land use type, for regulatory compliance reporting.


Before you begin

  • The Sweeping Summary program must be enabled in Settings > Programs.


Logging sweep entries

  1. Navigate to the Sweeping Summary program from the left sidebar.

  2. Click to create a new entry.

  3. Fill in the entry details:

    • Management Area: The area that was swept.

    • Reporting Year: The year this data applies to.

    • Residential Distance: Distance swept in residential areas.

    • Residential Amount: Material weight collected from residential areas.

    • Industrial Distance: Distance swept in industrial areas.

    • Industrial Amount: Material weight collected from industrial areas.

    • Commercial Distance: Distance swept in commercial areas.

    • Commercial Amount: Material weight collected from commercial areas.

  4. Click Save.

The total distance and total amount are auto-calculated from the subcategory values.


Running a sweeping summary report

  1. Navigate to the Sweeping Summary section.

  2. View entries filtered by management area or reporting year.

  3. Review totals for material collected and distances covered.

  4. Export to CSV for regulatory submission.

A: Units depend on your program configuration, typically tons, pounds, or cubic yards. The system stores numeric values; your organization defines the unit convention.

Q: Are distance and amount totals calculated automatically?

A: Yes. The total distance and total material amount fields are auto-calculated by summing the residential, industrial, and commercial subcategories.

Q: How does Sweeping Summary differ from Municipal Field Activities?

A: Sweeping Summary provides aggregate annual data by management area and land use type, designed for regulatory reporting. Municipal Field Activities tracks individual field maintenance events at specific sites with full inspection and deficiency support.
