Active | The facility is currently discharging and monitored under the program. |

What Happens When an IU Is Set to Inactive
When you change an IU's status from Active to Inactive, the system automatically:
Terminates active sample report configurations.
Deletes scheduled (future) sample reports.
Preserves submitted and historical sample reports.
Marks contacts and outfalls as inactive.
⚠️ Important: You cannot set an IU to Inactive if it has active legal controls. The system will display: "This industrial user has active legal controls. Legal controls must be terminated in order to make an industrial user inactive."
What Happens When an IU Is Reactivated
When you change an IU's status back from Inactive to Active:
Notification-definition limits are automatically reactivated.
Compliance limits remain inactive and must be reactivated manually.
Outfalls and contacts remain inactive and must be reactivated manually.
