The City of Locust Grove, GA let us know that they follow a 30/70% or 33/66% rule!

Virginia Beach, VA   We use the 25%rule.

We are however changing.  We will still do the 25% rule for hydromechanical and gravity grease interceptors that are not tested to failure. The interceptors that are tested to failure and we review will be changed to the maximum capacity based on manufacture numbers.  This means many will hold more than 25% FOG, but don't hold solids.

An example would be an interceptor from company A that has an interceptor tested to failure.  Company A states that the interceptor is considered full if the grease exceeds X depth or solids exceed Y depth.  Now the percentage has 0 baring on the test and we can compare depths with no math!
