Overview: Beginning Tuesday, August 10th, SwiftComply FOG is updating how compliance is calculated for establishments. Establishments with more than one Grease Control Device (GCD) will now have compliance calculated based on the least compliant GCD associated with that establishment. This means establishments that are sharing GCDs will all update based on GCD compliance!
Preparing your Database
This update will affect how Establishment compliance is updated, and Establishment service frequency will now be for record keeping only and not determine compliance.
SwiftComply recommends cities take the following steps to ensure that compliance statuses are accurately reflected across devices and establishments:
- Add GCDs to any establishments missing devices when necessary. Establishments with no devices will have a compliance status of "No Devices".
- Ensure all Grease Control Device service frequencies are listed accurately and named, as overall establishment compliance will now be calculated based on GCD compliance. If GCDs do not have names, the system may have trouble updating their compliance status.
- Make sure the last pump out has a GCD connected to it. Many pump outs were added before the GCD field was required on the pump out form.
GCD Level Compliance
|Never Pumped||No pump outs associated with that GCD.|
|Compliant||Pump out has been entered within the date range defined by the service frequency set at the GCD level.|
|Overdue||Pump out is overdue by 1-13 days based on the service frequency set at the GCD level.|
|Non Compliant||Pump out is overdue by 14 or more days based on the frequency set at the GCD level.|
Establishment Level Compliance
|New! No Devices||If no GCDs are attached to an establishment this status will appear.|
|All GCDs attached to the establishment are listed as "Never Pumped".|
|Compliant||All GCDs attached to the establishment have GCD pump out compliance status of "Compliant" OR if one is "compliant" and the rest are "never pumped".|
|Overdue||One or more GCDs are "Overdue" and the rest are "Compliant", or "Never Pumped".|
|Non Compliant||One or more GCDs are not compliant, and the rest are "Overdue, "Compliant", or "Never Pumped".|
Below are some examples for how compliance will be calculated on the establishment level.
Example 1: An establishment has two GCDs, the first GCD has a compliance status of Compliant, and the second GCD has a compliance status of Non Compliant -the establishment compliance will list as Non Compliant.
Example 2: An establishment has two GCDs, the first GCD has a compliance status of Compliant, and the second GCD has a status of Never Pumped - the establishment compliance will list as Compliant.
Example 3: Two establishments share one grease control device. The GCD is 16 days overdue to be pumped and has a compliance status of "Non Compliant" - both establishments connected to that GCD will have a compliance status of "Non Compliant".
