Jump to Editing your custom dashboard
System users also have the option to create custom dashboards. To create a custom dashboard select the green Add New Dashboard button from your default dashboard.
Note: Any dashboards created by users are only visible to the individual users who have created them.
When creating a new dashboard you will first be prompted to give your dashboard a name.
As you are creating your dashboard you can use the navigation in the upper right corner to edit, save, or delete the layout and dashboard that you have created.
There are three forms of widgets you can choose to add to your dashboard: Chart, Table, or Text.
The Chart option allows you to select from existing reports within your system. This can include Assembly Compliance Rate, Backflow Assemblies Replaced, Compliance Distribution Charts and much more.
Once you have selected a report for your chart a new window will open up prompting you to create a title for your chart, and select a Chart Type. You can choose from a bar, donut or pie graph. Some reports will require additional filters, such as custom date ranges. Once you have created the chart and selected a chart type select Set Widget to add this widget to your new dashboard.
Widgets can be dragged and dropped in any place on your new dashboard. Once you're ready to add a second widget the system will automatically ask you to save your layout changes as you go. Saving your current layout will be required to add new widgets to your dashboard.
The Table option allows you to select from available reports within your system to create a table of quickly accessible information in your custom dashboard. Once you have selected the report you would like to make a table widget out of you will be prompted to give the table a title, select the columns you would like included in your table, and for some reports you will be prompted to choose a date range for your information.
Once you have selected your columns and filters just click Set Widget to add the new table to your dashboard.
The Text widget allows you to display simple counts and numbers in an easy to read text format. It can only display one value at a time, and the system will show you what options you can generate in the drop down report.
Once you have selected your report the system will prompt you to Label the text widget, meaning whatever you would like the value to be labelled as once you have created your widget. Other filters may appear as well depending on the report you choose to generate.
The system may ask for a Month Offset meaning the cadence in months you would like to report on. Simply enter a numerical value between 1 and 12.
When you have filled out your labels and associated filters simply select Set Widget to add the text widget to your new dashboard.
Editing your custom dashboard:
Once you have created your new dashboard you will have several options for editing the layout and contents of your dashboard.
Once on the dashboard page select your custom dashboard from the dropdown menu to begin editing. Once viewing your custom dashboard select the small pencil icon from the upper left corner to enable editing.
Widgets can be selected and moved around the screen by clicking and dragging. Selecting the bottom right corner of the widget will allow you to resize the widget as needed.
From here you can add additional widgets, rename your dashboard, reset the dashboard layout, save the dashboard layout, or delete the dashboard using the navigation in the upper right corner.
To rename the dashboard click the small grey pencil icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Select the Rounded Arrow icon to reset the layout of the dashboard to its default layout. Select the Save Icon to save the current layout.
