New: Simple Signatures
Simple signatures are now available in your SwiftComply database and they can be added to inspection forms, enforcements, and even your pump out form.
We are calling them "simple" because unlike our former signature feature which includes a time stamp and record of the signature, simple signatures are simply a quick picture of the users signature. This feature loads and completes much more quickly than our other signature option as well.
Here is what a simple signature looks like in a completed inspection:
Adding Simple Signatures to Inspections and Enforcements
To add simple signatures to inspections and enforcements navigate to Account>Settings, and select Inspections or Enforcements from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
If you are adding simple signatures to an inspection, select the inspection template you would like to add a signature to and open that template. If you are adding a signature to an enforcement select the Enforcement Template tab.
When in your template, press the blue plus sign button to create a new question field where you would like the simple signature to appear.
Select Simple signature from the question type drop down menu. You are required to name this field, it can be as simple as "signature" or more specific depending on your needs. Check the required checkbox to make the signature required.
When finished adding the signature select Save to add the signature to your inspection template.
Adding Simple Signatures to your pump out form
To add a simple signature to your pump out form go to Account>Settings and select Properties from the menu on the left side of the screen.
Once in Properties select the Pump out properties tab from the list of properties.
Select Create Property. This will open a blank property form.
The Label will be the name of the signature field on the pump out form. The Internal Name is for data entry purposes only, and generally is the same name as the Label. The Description is optional, and will appear in small text as a tool tip underneath the field.
Under the Field type dropdown menu select Simple signature.
Optionally this signature can be made required by checking the required check box.
Click Save when finished.
