Overview
If you already have a paper or PDF version of your inspection form, you don't have to rebuild it by hand. Upload the PDF and the Form Builder generates both pieces at once:
the digital input form (fields, sections, and pages matching the source), and
a matching PDF output (replicating the source layout, with data fields wired to the generated form).
It's a starting point that typically gets you most of the way — you then review and refine in the builders.

Creating a form from a PDF
On the Form Builder homepage, choose Create Form → Upload.
Give the form a name.
Drop in your PDF form (it can be multiple pages).
Click Generate Form.
When it finishes, the input form opens in the Input Builder and the output opens in the PDF Builder.
The generated output mirrors your source form's structure — sections, checklists, corrective actions, and so on — replicating the layout, inserting data-field references that match the generated input fields, approximating fonts, spacing, and alignment, and matching the source page size.
Reviewing the results
Always review the generated form and output before using them for real inspections:
Check every field — confirm field types (text, date, dropdown, checkbox, signature, etc.) match the source form's intent, and that dropdowns have the right options.
Check the layout — fonts, spacing, alignment, and some conditionals are approximated, so don't expect 100% fidelity. Adjust in the PDF Builder or Code mode.
Check the data bindings — confirm the field references in the output line up with the fields in the input form.

Q: The generated layout doesn't match my source PDF — how do I fix it?
A: Open the output in the PDF Builder and adjust components and styles, or use Code mode for exact control. The generated form is a starting draft, not a finished product.
Q: Can I upload Word or Excel files?
A: No — the upload accepts a PDF form.
Q: Does uploading change my existing forms?
A: No. Uploading creates a new input form and output; existing forms are untouched.
